笔画 as Building Blocks of The Chinese Language

English words are formed by the alphabet. What about the Chinese Language? Schools may neglect to emphasize this, but 笔画 (types of Chinese brush strokes) are the building blocks of Chinese characters.

In our N1-N2 programmes, these essential brush strokes are gradually introduced during each lesson. Children are encouraged to apply this knowledge of 笔画 when learning how to write new Chinese characters.

Students who already have a strong foundation in 笔画 are able to quickly grasp the learning of new Chinese characters in K1, and develop a strong interest to learn a wide variety of vocabulary in K2.

Through fun and lively in-class exercise and practices, students are well-prepared and confident when learning more Chinese characters in Primary One.
