In March 2023, Hua Cheng Education Centre was invited to be part of Eastpoint Mall’s annual March Activity Bootcamp, with an overarching theme of “Sustainability”. This year, children aged 4 to 6 were invited to join an exciting Mandarin Storytelling Session at Hua Cheng! Our delightful story-telling session aimed to make learning Chinese language a fun and enjoyable experience. Parents were encouraged to experience this event with their young children.
The storybook that captured the hearts of the young audience was titled “顽皮的卡嘟拉：卡嘟拉的新朋友”. This heart-warming tale told the story of a lonely dinosaur, who learned the value of friendship through encounters with characters like the rabbit, hippopotamus, and more. What made this story even more special was that it was told entirely in Chinese, providing a unique opportunity for children to be exposed to the language in a fun and engaging way. As they listened to the story, the children also learned basic Chinese vocabulary, expanding their language skills while having a blast.
